Yesterday in class we started to learn about the SEO Certification Course. The most important thing that we was about SERP. SERP stands for a search engine results page. The different search engines can provide different results to the other search engines that are available. If you want your site to be on the top, you need to have a supplier and a receiver relationship between your search engines. There are many different search engines that you can use.
People use many different search engines to get their results that they need. The main search engine that is offered is called Google. Google also provides results to AOL, Netscape, IWon, AskJeeves, and many others. Yahoo provides you with paid and free submissions. MSN provides primary results from LookSmart. Some other search engines are AOL, Alta Vista, HotBot, IWon, Lycos, Netscape, and ALLTheWeb. We also learned about the most important two directories. The two directories are Dmoz and Yahoo.
Voor de bouwer van commerciële websites, is het essentieel globaal te denken. Herinner altijd dat uw bezoekers niet met de Engelse taal zouden kunnen bekwaam zijn. Zij zouden ook uw cultuur of waarden kunnen niet delen. Wat kunt u hen aanbieden? Hoe kunt u uw plaats van die van uw concurrenten onderscheiden? Ik denk dat dit een goed idee zal zijn als wij onze commentaren in verschillende talen posten zodat andere culturen kunnen lezen wat wij over spreken. Als alle culturen de zelfde website kunnen lezen kunnen wij allen samen met elkaar verbinden en krijgen. Sommige mensen denken niet dit een goed idee is omdat wij onze culturen zouden moeten afzonderlijk houden, echter, ik denken het een positieve verandering zal zijn. Hopelijk, zullen de mensen hun websites in verschillende talen in de toekomst veranderen.
For the builder of commercial websites, it is vital to think globally. Always remember that your visitors might not be proficient with the English language. They also might not share your culture or values. What can you offer them? How can you differentiate your site from those of your competitors?
I think that this will be a good idea if we post our comments in different languages so that other cultures can read what we are talking about. If all cultures can read the same website we can all connect and get along with each other. Some people do not think this is a good idea because we should keep our cultures separate, however, I think it will be a positive change. Hopefully, people will change their websites into different languages in the future.
